Memories Behind Delicacies #w7

Every time when anyone asks me what my interest is or what I like to do, my answer would be: I LOVE TO EAT. Yes, I'm indeed a FOOD-LOVER, and I also love taking pictures of them~~~(another reason of love taking pictures of my food is because: you all know that many cafes are getting really expensive right now, and I think "taking good pictures" is included in their charge.) Therefore, today I will be sharing some cafes I went.💁💅(but I don't think I take good pictures though...I need to practice more I guess💪😇)Why don't I do a must-go or recommended cafes? Because only a few of them really got amazing flavors that would make me want to have a second visit.😐😑😒😓(I'm such a big plate🍽) No matter what, I enjoy going to nice places with my friends regardless of the price. In some places, the food tastes really good;sometimes they're not. So I'll say, maybe I'm not just sharing the food, but also my tiny stories.

murmur: every time I finish typing my article, I just don't know my point😐😑💀

I went to this place with my two friends who I have known them since fifth grade. It was a scorching hot day, so we finished the matcha milk we ordered right after they were put onto our table. The waffles and the drinks were okay...but I think the most precious part is that this day was the last time I hung out with both of them. Although sometimes we didn't feel as comfortable as we used to be, the memories we went through still remain vivid in my mind.

This was when I went to a cafe with my high school classmates after my school anniversary in my sophomore year. I don't even remember how the food was. We were laughing out loud outside the cafe about how ridiculous my friend looks like when she dressed up in a some kind "ancient costume". My class set up a stall that year. IT WAS BUSY but super fun. I was responsible for making the drinks, but we ended up with not enough coke and sprite so we started selling iced water...Also, I made the settings for our stall and we won first place!

My best friend Joanna and I love going to cafes. These two were probably the first two cafes we went in a Christmas day. In the first picture, we ordered a snowman puff. We ordered it because it looked super cute and IT WAS LIMITED. My friend ordered this some kind of berry juice? because she thought it might look good in the picture, but it turned out tasting weird. In the second and third picture, they were the best matcha I have ever tasted. We waited outside for an hour but it was worth it.

I went to Pier 2 with my friend Crystal. Even til now, I couldn't understand how she could order a cup of milk that was priced 180 NT????? The food were okay...but what really matters that day was because that was New Year's Eve. We went to a New Year's Eve concert and that was the first time I listened to TRASH's music. I certainly fell in love with their music after that. (I especially love the electric guitar part in 終究還是因為愛)🎸🎸OMG I want to learn elctric guitar so bad.

I took my sister to these three restaurants in my 17th birthday in spring break. The beef curry was so expensive that we share one together. My sister and I love strawberries really much so once we heard about the limited desserts and drinks with strawberries, we ordered them without second thought.

Joanna and I went to this adorable cafe which sells thick toasts. They were just very regular toasts.== BUT the pictures I took that day were considered my favorite cafe pictures even til now. I took the second picture for Joanna and she loves it really much that she even posted it on her insta (she loves pretty pictures that can be posted onto it). It was a cool day and we took a long walk after this. We had a memorable curry that day, and we can still recall how good it was.

Crystal and I love going to Tainan at that time. We wanted to eat something else for lunch but they were closed at that time so we went to have this very very ordinary lunch.

I went to these two stores alone in my trip in Taipei for LAUV's concert. The first picture was a Korean pork soup with rice. It was a scorching hot day so I was a little regret of having this, but it was good anyway. I went to the cafe in the afternoon because I saw a super cute picture of the cheese cake on insta...when I got there, I suddenly realized that it was JK's birthday😭😭😭I WAS SOOO LUCKY. Also, the cookies were really tasty.

Me and Joanna went to this restaurant that we were expecting for a long time. However, maybe we put too much expectation to it, so it disappointed us a lot. It was an expensive meal with flavor that's just okay. Also, the AC wasn't on and that's the least thing I would like to see since I hate to be sweating while I eat.

I guess this is me and Joanna's favorite noodle shop. Their noodles are really tasty and extraordinary because they put century eggs and peanut sauces on it. IT IS REALLY GOOD. They kept specifying how good their pudding was, but it was just not that good. We went there on special occasions because this place means a lot (and it needs to make a reservation==) Every time we went there, we need to run fast through a small alley because there were often mickey mouse outside.😓

Me and Crystal climbed alllllll the way up to the Cihou Lighthouse in this hooooot day. We were sweating all over our clothes and was wishing to have a seat in this cafe with AC on. However, when we got to the top, we felt being struck by lightning when finding out THERE WAS NO AC. The brown sugar shaved ice saved us. Although it was kind of disastrous that day, when we saw the view from there, I felt like it was worth it.

I went to the two places with my sister the day the result of my college came out. It's always satisfying to go out with my sister because she never asked too much about my emotions. The croissants were good and I brought many friends there several times after that.

I had this very first taco rice with my friend who we started to know each other in our math cram school. It was a limited store so I feel sad that I couldn't have the chance to eat it anymore. THEY HAVE THE BEST SUGAR-COATED POTATO in my entire life. I'd always wanted to go to the cafe in the third picture, but it was just soso so it disappointed me a little.

Joanna and I had always wanted to eat this chocolate cake. We never had the chance because it was in a location that's not easy to get to. When we finally tried it, we were disappointed once again...

Emily, Joanna, and I went to this bread cafe on a train. It was a really nice place with cozy atmosphere and tasty breads. The strawberry bun on the left picture looks good but it tastes the least good...The toast were delicious though. When me and Emily poured water for Joanna, we added some(a lot) sugar into her water to see if she recognized. She did of course. Me and Emily were trying to act as if we didn't know about the super sweet water, but we ended up burst out laughing like crazy. Also, Joanna said Emily's bread looked like poo because she refused to admit that her strawberry bun tasted bad.

The first cafe was definitely the worst one I've been to(probably) and Joanna was extremely furious because she was begging to go there. It was a famous cafe but I would say no one would probably give it a second visit. Don't you think it's weird that people usually remember those bad experiences more than the good ones?

Me and Ms.Chen(I forgot her English name) went to this cafe. Because we had to wait for an hour or two, we went to claw machines in this period of time. We haven't see each other for half an year, but we still had a good time. We chatted a lot about our college life and I sat on her motor for a ride like before.

These are the birthday cakes Joanna gave me. We went to celebrate my 19th birthday after a big fight. I feel good to make up with her again. I always have a good time chatting and spending time with her.

This was where me and my high school friends went to in our graduation trip in Taipei. This moment was extremely precious because I don't befriended some of them afterwards.

To recall the backgrounds of tasting these cafes and restaurants makes me think of those pleasant memories again. I miss my friends a lot and the memories we been through. The biggest pity is when you know you won't get to have any other memories with some of them anymore. Sometimes I think I should cherish the times more at the moment. No matter what, I just want to tell my friends that I love them sooooo much.😭😭😭😭💅💇👯(that's a weird ending)

Here are some other pictures I want to share: 💃💂💅maybe I'll share my college version next time(like how many next times did I promised) 😑

  1. I think some of the cafes are good-looking, but the food there… well…💀💀 But at least you’ll get some pretty pictures out of it, so you can post them on your social media, that’s a perk. Anyway, I like that you’re very honest about the food. If it tastes bad or just average, you say it straight out (unlike some influencers who always say a restaurant is good when it actually tastes like sh*t🙄🤌if you’re gonna be an influencer, don’t be like that bro💩)

  10. Hey?! You’ve been hitting up all these cafés without inviting me??
Just thinking about the last time we went to Wakamodog and paid $250 for one slice of cake still makes me want to cry… 😥💩 (That place is still holding strong at #1 on my personal Tainan blacklist.)
The food you introduced looks too good, and as a proud cake lover I’m now officially starving.
Next time, we have to go to 稻滿 Café together—I’ve been waiting 200 years for this moment!! (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`)
Oh! And don’t forget about 南人 BBQ—WE (not cookie gg) need to go there together. I tested it out for you already, and I can confirm: it’s super delicious. Highly recommended! 😋
